Jade (Nephrite) - Austria
The gemstone Jade consists of two different minerals. There are Nephrite and Jadeite. The latter is almost impossible to come by and is only found in a few countries. Nephrite is a bit more common, but basically has the same properties as Jadeite. Jade is created from serpentine converted into metamorphic rock.
